River Edge Flute Experience

The River Edge Flute Experience is a 4 day intensive course of study held at the start of the summer, in River Edge, NJ. The River Edge Flute Experience faculty will guide all participants through careful instruction with level-appropriate music. Through fun and informational daily activities taught in a supportive and structured environment, participants will receive instruction on everything from flute technique and performance skill to note reading and music history.

All flutists of different levels who love music are welcome!

Beginner level - learn how to play the flute this summer!

Advanced beginner level: grades 4-6
-
Intermediate level: grades 7-9

Advanced level: grades 9-12

Adult enthusiast level
There will be a performance on the final day, Thursday June 29.
A reception will follow the performance!
Deadlines & Fees
Early Registration Discount: Pay in full by May 15, 2024: $325
Final deadline: June 15, 2024: $375
Refunds: 50% of the tuition will be reimbursed up until June 20, 2024

Private lessons available upon request in the amount of $60 per 45 minutes, or $40 per 30 minutes
Daily Schedule
1:30-2:10pm - Daily warm-up, scales, technique
2:15-2:55pm - Musicianship: Ear training, music theory, music history or rhythmic studies
2:55-3:15pm - Snack/Break
3:15-3:55pm - "Specials": movement, eurythmics, improvisation class, college prep for high schoolers, proper flute care, flute beat boxing, yoga, etc.
4:00-5:00pm - Ensemble REHEARSALS
* A more specific schedule will follow when the date gets closer.
On our final day, Thursday, June 29th, there will be a performance at the end of the afternoon session. Student ensembles will present their pieces, and flute faculty will also perform. All family & friends are welcome and encouraged to attend. Reception to follow!
